Employee Purchasing Program

Background

CDW is a fortune 500 company that provides IT solutions for business, education, government, and healthcare professionals. The Employee Purchase Program (EPP) is a free service that provides a method for CDW customers to extend their organization discount to their employees for their personal purchases.

My Role: UX Designer, UX Researcher, Product Strategy, Accessibility Specialist

The Outcomes

  • Gave time back to account managers by enabling customers to self-serve online, generating a revenue increase of 4% and an increase of account activations of 64%.

  • Enhanced a service that helps customers with the transition to working from home by providing access to reliable tech and professional experts.

  • Brought awareness to an easy, free perk for our customer’s employees.

The Problem

  • Backend order routing issues caused end-use purchasers to lose their discount and AMs to lose time tracking and reassigning orders.

  • Inefficient onboarding caused the organization administrators to not refer purchasers properly.

  • Lack of program awareness for all intended audiences: administrators, end-use purchasers, and the seller.
